SEC is trying to regulate hedge funds (over $800B in total value); the 60-day public-comment period (July 15 to September 15, 2004) is just over. Let see what happen. SEC wants those funds with more than $25M open their books.

High return comes with high risk. Most funds just tell you their high return rates, but they will never tell you the Beta value (risk level) of their fund. As somebody here mentioned early, some hedge funds are trying to attack China foreign exchange system. I hope China center bank can handle this.
