I don't think you would lose female supporters! On the contrary, I think, you could win female supporters.
Because in this way, the novel would be more entertaining, instead of just another business guide kind of novel.
And in this way, the readers would have the chance to be educated with the to-be-hero guy in a natural way. I really like this idea !
BTW, the long-sentence issue has been improved very well !
