it's not about Sun shoving its server down everyone's throat.
Yes, thin client/thick server has been around for a long time, but that does not mean every implementation will go down the same path. There are lots to be said of using browser as a single client representation, yes I recognize its limitation, esp. in security area, but the conveniences it brings can't be denied, just look at the youtube's sucess in attracting eyeballs.
Desktop is about democracy is MSFT's propoganda. Don't drink too much that coolaid.
