Rather, it's a women's basic instinct to feel deeply attracted to power, authority, and masculinity. It's buried in her genes, and probably in every women's genes. But I don't want to call it love though.
There is no immediate financial gain for her, as far as I can see. Andy Lau could walk away anytime and she knows it.
I think she's still made a good move. She's only 23, so she would still have the option to marry a Chinese engineer later. In this sense, she doens't have much to lose. On the other hand, hanging out with a big shot is a huge immediate gratification for her and may open the window for some opportunities, depending on how she exploit them.
