这么说吧，我亲眼见过的唐卡画有一千付以上，照过像的有三百多，都写有英文的解说，还专门请人编了一个Microsoft Access database存这些图像和英文的解说。想在基本上一眼看过去就知道画的是什么，什么故事，什么年代的。
Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is the Bodhisattva of compassion. The name is from two Sanskrit words. Avalokita means He who looks down on the world with compassion. Ishvara means the Lord and is a common name for God in Indian religions. Avalokitesvara also means he who is looked to for help. It is said that the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva constantly sprinkles pure and holy water onto all beings in the universe bestowing blessings of merit and longevity. Another form of the bodhisattva of compassion is Kharchheri, also known as the 4-arm Kwan Yin or Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. In his principal hands are the jewel for knowledge.
