I am thinking to develop a networking access-control product. For example it has the follwing function:

08:00am -- 12:00pm, visiting yahoo is not allowed
12:00pm -- 01:00pm, lunch time to open yahoo etc. sites.
01:00pm -- 06:00pm, disallowing to visit yahoo etc. again.
After 6:00pm, reopen all sites.

Of course, the policy can be tailored for each individual. For example since you are a CEO, you can be exampted from the above restriction.

In addition, it can also restrict how to access P2P applications. For example, downloading from outside is OK but sending files out is disallowed to pretect company's IPs. It can even keep track of which files you send out through emails (YAHOO, AOL, MSN etc.). If certain sensitive information is detected, the emails could not be sent out.

Now the question is how much would you like to pay for such a product. Each Ethernet port is very cheap and it is around $10. If I asked you to pay $20 per port, do you think it is accepable for such a product?

Please note in order to support the wire-speed at 100Mb/second per Ethernet port, certain features must be implemented in hardware. That is why it might be expensive to add such advanced networking policying and security features.
