I have been living in hk for 3 years, in south horizons,a comfortable life enjoying club swimming pool, court, children's play ground, sea view.
living cost:
rent: $10000 pm (2br)-$15000 pm (3br)
basic food: $5000 pm for 2 adult, 1 nanny, 1 kid
transport: bus to central $6.5 one way
nanny: $3600 pm
children's kindergarten: $2500-$4000 pm
dining out: depend on your barget, lunch usually $30-$50 depend on drink
taxi: $15 mimimum
hong kong life is good, you can buy the best quality goods at the least price, goods from all over the world, weather is ok but too humid, need a dehumidifier, no balcony for cloth hanging, but still can survive for limited clothes.
