And generally his expat package should be much higher than what he earned in Canada. Just make it conservative, assuming he made CAD 400K (RMB 2MM) a year in China in 1996 or 1997. If I were his wife, I would rather let him make that money and then support the startup rather than join the start up to make entire family more risky.
