100% back. Ask for reasonablly a bit more will serve the purpose, but has to be reasonable.
Finding a right lawyer is as important as finding a right doctor. I usually ask my family lawyer to refer someone for my different needs. Just like you can't ask a dematologist to do a heart surgery.
I just can't believe that your lawyer took your case even though he had no expertise in that aspect, and resting the case for that long time without action, he could be sued for negligence and misrepresentation. The result could be very painful for him( and may even risking his license). If this case happened within 2 years, you still have the right to sue him.
