[闲聊]Offer Negotiation with ACN - Back on Track...
Ok, so this second offer almost matched with ACN's...Actually before I got to know that, headhunter already asked me if I would be happy for ACN to increase my ba*se salary at $1.5k and sign-on bonus at $2k...Well, $3.5k split into 26 pay checks? I didn't think so... 
So, still, I got this updated offer from ACN HR. Apparently HR and Headhunter have talked a lot. Anyway, Headhunter also told me yesterday that a senior executive at ACN would be calling me, I mean, great, why not give me more sugar?  I went to a friend's for mid-autumn party (we tasted some real nice tea!  ) and missed the Senior Executive's phone call. It just happened that I didn't want to set up my cell phone's voice mail and SE's phone number wasn't displayed so I couldn't call back last night 8pm when he called me... 
About two hours ago, this Senior Executive finally called me again today and we talked for about 20minutes. Of course I expressed my interest and serious consideration in this position, however, in the end, I threw it at him "what is it that I lack so that I can NOT be hired at a higher level for consultant"?

After a few minutes of explaining how the decision was made, this nice SE suggested that I call HR and ask him to schedule another round of interview with himself and see if I'm eligible for a higher level consultant position Yeah, this was respectful and what I dreamed how a manager should act upon such issues. Problem solver he was!
Yup, I believe my point was well taken:
I've not become greedy along the way and have not grown green eyes either. I do see the big picture and recognize the benifits in the long run. However, I don't want to feel understimulated if I got hired at a lower level, lower than what I believe I deserve. Don't trust my capabilities? Ok, please convince me, and thanks

The headhunter gave me a big WOW for this and she said it rarely happened. Yeah, I know, hehe, sweettalk, huh?  
This experience made me think of our house-hunting 3+ years ago with that real estate agent...I've been nice and naive once, but never the second time
