support your argument.
Germany's steel industry is superior in tech, but not necessarily better in terms of cost per ton, given its high labor cost. FYI, german gov also subsized their steel industry, which is perceived as its key industry. In sum, I am not sure German steel makers are more efficient.
I only compare data available between Nucor, US Steel and Wuhan Steel (not the group firm, but the listed steel division). US Steel has similar cost per ton number as Wuhan Steel did. Nucor's cost per ton is much lower, but its process tech is different. So it is hard to argue that American steel makers, on average are better than some Chinese steel makers in terms of cost structure.
I have not read Pushan Steel and Nippon Steel's data, so no comments here.
Do not generalize things based on impression, we need to have strong data to support our accusation.
I think some argument of Mr. Wang is valid (e.g. do not take any M&A issues politically). If we disagree with him, show your analysis,
but do not take things personally. thanks.
