VP or Director of Design Engineering
We are looking for individuals who can help us build a team of hard-working, passionate and experienced individuals. Brite Semiconductor will be launching an exciting new fabless ASIC Company in Shaghai China soon! We are in the process of recruiting key employees.

The Vice President or Director of Engineering will need to have a proven ability to recruit the best and brightest to build an ASIC engineering organization that delivers the highest quality products on schedule. This position will report to the CEO.
The ideal candidate will not only bring strategic senior level technical skills and business leadership to the table, but will also love being hands-on and be able to carry the majority of the development effort with limited resources as we build a team from the ground up.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build, manage, motivate, and lead a world-class ASIC design engineering.
Lead the Engineering team through phases of product definition, development and testing, while managing project schedules, time lines and budget.
Refine the development process to improve efficiency.
Lead and manage the manufacturing and technical support operations and infrastructure to ensure customer satisfaction.
Partner with the rest of the executive team to build an innovative culture that rallies behind key deliverables and goals.
Clearly communicate across various departments to ensure deliverables are understood, projects are prioritized and deadlines are
Requirements:
Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese
15+ years experience for Vice President, 10+ years for Director of project engineering execution and management.
5+ years relevant experience managing highly talented Place & Route based physical design and delivery -- translating business objectives into requirements and design.
Experience leading development teams through development from front to back.
Strong project estimation, planning and management.
Proven track record in developing world class products while scaling infrastructure to support rapid growth.
Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain the best and the brightest design engineers.
Demonstrated skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities, estimating schedules, and working with external customers to deliver projects on time.
Experience managing vendor contacts.
Experience defining and managing processes spanning the entire chip development life cycle (design, develop, debug & test, support, document).
Demonstrated problem solving abilities and passion about solving difficult technical problems.
Solid understanding of project tracking tools, deep-submicron physical design, debug & testing, development methodologies, design verification and qualification processes.
Front-end definition, RTL development and validation is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as experience making board of director level presentations and communicating with investors.
BS degree is required; MS degree in EE is preferred.
