Manager of skill proficiency (IT skills)
Identify training needs from supporting staff on office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Lotus Notes and mobility devices, design tailored training programs, organize and deliver group and one-on-one training sessions to help them improve
Help functional heads identify the productivity enhancement opportunity by leveraging computer software, develop and deliver the tailored IT training programs to specific functions, e.g., administration, secretary, translators, and visual aid etc.
Provide coaching to supporting staff on office productivity tools on daily basis, answering questions and helping them solve problems case by case
Further develop best practices on IT front, and facilitate the best practice-sharing among locations and functions
Develop a skill proficiency scorecard and monitor the effectiveness of the training
Follow all Firm recommendations related to training and provide input into development of Firm-wide training programs
Manager of skill proficiency (soft skills)
Identify training needs from supporting staff on soft skills such as communication, coordination and prioritization skills, design tailored training programs, organize and deliver group and one-on-one training sessions to help them improve
Help functional heads develop and deliver the tailored training programs on soft skills to specific functions, e.g., administration, secretary, translators, and visual aid etc.
Provide coaching to supporting staff on soft skills on daily basis, answering questions and helping them solve problems case by case
Further develop best practices, and facilitate the best practice-sharing among locations and functions
Develop a skill proficiency scorecard and monitor the effectiveness of the training
Follow all Firm recommendations related to training and provide input into development of Firm-wide training programs
Desired skills
IT skills
For the manager concentrating on IT training: deep computer knowledge, expert user of PC Window 2000, Powerpoint (advanced), Word (advanced), Excel (advanced), and willing to learn other software such as Access
For the manager concentrating on soft skills training: good computer/software skills
Experience in training program design and delivery and the ability to effectively transfer knowledge to a broad range of users (beginner through advanced)
Highly professional and self motivated to work in an environment dedicated to customer service
Good business sense - be able to put training into a business context
Good command of English, both written and oral; Mandarin capability is strongly preferred
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills that enable the person to initiate and drive the training program together with local offices and specific functions.
Preferred Background
The ideal candidates could come from any background (e.g., a trainer, technologist, consultant…), specifically
Undergraduate degree required; MBA or other professional degree preferred.
