Finally finished work for the day(and night), but the shower just awoke me. Wanted to chip in my bar stories in 10 years in the US... I have been to many different bars for different purposes in different places... Taverns in Chicago, Sports bars in Philly, upscale bars with birdview of SF, trendy bars in NY, strip bars in LV & Montreal, airport bars in many cities... Of course, bars and women are always together... 
1) my first US bar experience:
Ten years ago, I landed in the middle of American rednecks. It's a small college town. Only many years later I realized the political believes of those people. But at the time, I thought they were the nicest people in the world. On the second night of international student orientation, I was dragged into a bar by a student coordinator. She was very sweet and good looking. There were also students from other countries. Only she was very into Chinese culture and we pretty much chatted the whole evening. It was the first time I learn about "Sex On the Beach". When we left the bar she gave me a bear hug. Many years later, I couldn't remember what we had said. But the sense of excitement from hugging a blonde for the first time is still with me today. Later on we went out together a couple of times more, but after the semester gets busy we were both absorbed by our own responsibilities... maybe she just wanted to experience some novalties...
