the word "western culture" is totally a nonsense. I have friends from Spain, France, Italy and other Latin American nations. And I studied in Europe for several years before moving to America. The Latin culture, which is part of the "Western" culture, is more similar to Chinese culture than the Anglo-Saxon one.
If one travels around the world, you will know what I am talking about. The latin cuture nations are no less corrupted than the Chinese one(Taiwan AND mainland China).
I am curious why people back in China still view all White people as a same cultural block and think that Europeans are all same with each other. Even Americans are very different from Europeans now on many issues, religion is just one of the top divisive issues.

根本问题还是瞧不起中国文化
Why she couldn't overcome the reverse culture shock quickly? Anyway, there's no language barrier, unlike the first culture shock when she went to US years ago.
She regards western culture somewhat higher than chinese culture. She got to talk the talk. She has to adjust herself when talking or hanging out with Chinese friends and clients. But it looks like it's so hard for her. For people like her, they will be better off staying in US, but always suffer being marginalized in any societies.
