Digital TV Industry Trend in the US and Entrepreneurial Opportunity in China
Rapid roll-out of digital television and convergence across the communications industry drive the next wave of high tech evolution. The television world is currently being revolutionized by digital television (DTV). This is the biggest change to occur in television and broadcasting industry in more than 30 years.
The complicated question of the digital television (DTV) transition is now facing a variety of industry participants: chip manufacturers, LCD/LCOS/MicroDisplay technology vendors, TV/STB/DVR markers, Cable Headend Equipment vendors, Conditional Access providers, Cable and Satellite TV operators, Middleware and Embedded software vendors, all need to understand the transition to digital TV.
What:
The workshop serves NACSA members who wish to learn more about Digital TV Industry, exchange ideas in technologies, and network with industry insiders. Following are some of the proposed topics for discussion:
o DTV transition from analog to digital.

o MSO HeadEnd and DTV network infrastructure
o DTV Business module and new services
o DTV opportunity in China

Stanley has over 12 years of successful management and strong design experience. He was CEO and Founder of Accerant Inc. recently was acquired by LSI logic. Before Accerant Inc. He was principal design engineer and manager at Broadcom, C-Cube Microsystems, S3, Infomedia. He has a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Mr. Tyrone E. Lee, Consumer Semiconductors Analyst, Piper Jaffrey
Mr. Henry Zhu, VP of Business Development, Beijing Novel-Tongfang Information Engineering co.
Novel-TongFang is a major player in the China DTV market includes Digital TV Conditional Access System (CAS), Subscriber Management System (SMS), Electronic Program Guide (EPG), STB, DVR etc. Henry has more than 10 years industry experience includes various position in Cisco, Alcatel, Siemens and ADC telecommunications. He has a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Virginia.
