Salmon's successful operations in UK and USA have resulted in its expansion of services into China and the setting up of a new subsidiary Salmon China Limited. www.salmon.com We are currently seeking two additional senior testers for our eCommerce team. You will be working as part of an integrated team consisting of members working in UK, USA and China. You will be a key part of the team and expected to take initiative in ensuring that business requirements are fully understood and met by developed solutions.
Senior Tester 高级软件测试工程师
Job Specifications:
The scope of the Tester role includes the following:
-Reviewing business and technical requirements documentation.
-Preparing test cases
-Writing (manual and automated) test steps
-Preparing SQL
-Preparing xml
-Using a methodical approach to execute tests both manually and where necessary using automated tools and recording the results.
-Initial analysis of problems found, querying databases, checking interface formats, report formats, screen layouts
-Writing defect reports
-Verification of defect fixes
-Liaising with developers and customers
-Undertaking user acceptance testing (when necessary)
-Occasional travel to customer sites
-Reporting to Test Manager
Essential Qualifications and Experiences:
You will already have a range of skills from a related IT or business background, with the creativity and enthusiasm to deliver in a challenging environment. Your skills include:
-Strong oral and written presentation skills in both Chinese and English
-Good interpersonal and communication skills
-Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
-Ability to build relationships with senior client and partner personnel
-A minimum of 2 years experience as an experienced software tester
-Preferably ISEB certified or with local Testing Certifications
-Experience in preparing test cases
-Knowledge about automated tools
-Experience in test management tools such as Test Director and/or Bugzilla
-Full working knowledge of the software development lifecycle
-Exposure to Retail and/or eCommerce (preferably the two combined in delivery of transactional B2C websites)
-Ability to manage own time and activities
-Comfortable working unsupervised at Salmon offices and on client sites
-Preferably experience of DB2 or Oracle
-Nice to have Quick Test, Quality Centre, TOAD/DB Visualizer, VB scripting and Shell scripting
Java Technical Support Engineer
1. Participate in Java application systems as technical support;
2. Response to and solve the issues occurred during the system processes;
3. For the matters cannot be solved alone, record and submit them to the head;
Qualifications
1. Excellent English in both oral and written, current work environment in English is preferred;
2. 3+ years Java development experience, previous technical support experience is preferred;
3. Proficient in J2EE 1.4 and 1.5;
4. Proficient in SQL, understanding of Oracle, DB2, MySQL or MS SQL Server;
5. Strong independent analysis and problem solving ability, strong communication skills;
6. Be familiar with Linux shell;
7. Be familiar with large-scale e-commerce platform;
8. Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit, self-motivated, and ability to work under pressure;
9. Bachelor degree or above, Computer background or relative major.
