u guys don't want to change urself to get used to the america's life style. It's really like jailed in the states but with more money and freedom. I'd say the most important thing of quality of life is the satisfaction about your own life. If u'r lonely and don't know how to spend ur free time, u got a problem and ur QoL suffers although u may enjoys high salary and better environments here.
Going back seems to be a good choice for u. U guys' personality may not be suitable for getting rich in China. But u can live a relatively better life than many people in China and probably feel happier than here.
